How Xentro Engine works

Five steps from your first conversation with us to Monday morning outreach. No guesswork, no manual research on your side.

The five steps

Before we start, we align on two things: the trade type you want to target, and the geographic area you want to cover. This shapes the entire pack.

Trade types we cover:

  • Plumbers
  • Electricians
  • Roofers
  • HVAC and heating engineers
  • Builders and general contractors
  • Painters and decorators
  • Landscapers and gardeners
  • Locksmiths

Locations: We work across the UK (primary) and the United States (secondary). You tell us the cities or regions you want to target and we focus the pack there.

If you are unsure, tell us what services you sell most often and what deal sizes work best for you. We will recommend a starting niche and region based on conversion rates and market density.

We identify trades businesses with an active web presence that is underperforming. Not businesses with no website at all, which are harder to convert — businesses that have something but are falling short of their competition.

What we look for:

  • Slow page load times on mobile
  • Missing or unclaimed Google Business Profile
  • No meta descriptions or title tags
  • No schema markup for local business
  • No tracking (Google Analytics or equivalent)
  • Poor content structure and thin pages
  • Low Lighthouse scores across performance and SEO

Each business is verified live before entering the pack. We do not deliver entries with dead URLs or redirect chains.

Freshness rule: We do not repeat the same business within a 60–90 day window. We also do not re-sell the same pack to two agencies covering the same niche and region.

Each business in the pack receives a full audit against six weighted categories. Every category contributes to an overall health score from 0 to 100.

The six categories:

  • Technical SEO — crawlability, canonical tags, structured data, robots
  • Local SEO — Google Business Profile, NAP consistency, local citations
  • On-page SEO — title tags, meta descriptions, heading structure, keyword presence
  • Tracking — analytics setup, tag manager, conversion events
  • Content — depth, clarity, service page quality
  • UX — mobile responsiveness, contact accessibility, CTAs

Grade bands:

  • A — Excellent (85–100)
  • B — Good (70–84)
  • C — Average (50–69)
  • D — Poor (0–49)

Leads in a typical pack score in the D band (0–49). These are the businesses with the most tangible pain and the clearest reason for an agency to get in touch.

A Lighthouse report is run on each site and the four core scores (Performance, Accessibility, Best Practices, SEO) are included in the pack.

Every pack is delivered Sunday evening UK time. You open it Monday morning and you are ready to start outreach before the week begins.

What you receive in the pack:

  • A CSV file with all leads, scores, and data fields
  • Business name, verified website URL, location, and trade type
  • Overall health score (0–100) and grade band
  • Category scores across all six audit dimensions
  • Lighthouse scores — Performance, Accessibility, Best Practices, SEO
  • Top 3 weaknesses flagged in plain English
  • Recommended service based on the audit findings
  • Pre-written outreach hook — specific to that business's data
  • Unique Pack ID for traceability

The outreach hook is not a generic template. It references specific data from that business. For example: "Their site loads in 8.4 seconds on mobile and their competitors in S1 are three times faster." That is a reason to call. It is not a cold approach.

After your first pack, you can tell us what is working. Which niche converts best for you? Which regions are producing replies? Which weaknesses are landing best in your outreach?

We use that to sharpen the next pack. Over time your packs become more targeted — the niche more specific, the scoring thresholds tuned to leads that match your sweet spot.

This is optional. Many agencies use the packs as-is without any feedback. But if you want to optimise, the mechanism is there.

On Growth and Scale plans you get direct email access for questions about the data between deliveries.
